OURÂ STORY
In 2004, Minnesota's afterschool community recognized a critical need—the importance of providing all youth across the state with access to high-quality afterschool programs. This realization led to the formation of Youth Community Connections, later known as the Minnesota Afterschool Network, as a statewide network.
By 2013, we had transformed into Ignite Afterschool, a name symbolizing our dedication to igniting a shared commitment to the youth in every corner of Minnesota. Our mission unites afterschool advocates from all over the state, pooling our resources, passion, and expertise.
Together, we strive to enhance funding, availability, and the overall quality of afterschool programming, lighting the way for and with Minnesota's young people."
